Rob has been helping me develop my mixing skills over the last few months with face to face tuition at his home studio. I’ve learnt so much – Rob’s incredibly deep and broad knowledge of mixing art and science is so inspiring, and his tuition style is incredibly responsive and flexible. Most importantly, he’s really helped my tracks sound so full and finished. 😀 I’m getting more confident to do this whole process myself now…. Additionally, he’s been giving my son music production and guitar lessons face to face and virtually for a few years now. My son loves his sessions with him and had developed loads. Would highly recommend working with Rob if you are looking for help on all aspects of music production and mixing or guitar lessons (or if you need a high quality mixing engineer for that matter!). ABOUT ME

I’m Rob and I’m a Music Producer.

After completing a Maths degree at Leeds University in 2003, I went on to study music production and sound recording within the studios at Leeds Conservatoire. During this period, I also studied Jazz with renowned guitarist, Tom Quayle.

 

In 2008, I established Silent City Recording Studio in Leeds, becoming sought after for my rich and cinematic production style, always focussed on promoting the artist’s unique sound. From 2018, I focussed my experience and skills on Mixing and Mastering. In 2020, I moved to York and set up a new production studio and run recording sessions at Hohm Recording Studio in Bradford.

 

As a trained multi-instrumentalist, I draw inspiration from my eclectic background in Jazz music, Metal, Hip Hop, EDM, Pop, and Classical.

 

I work with everyone from independent DIY artists, to signed bands, to businesses. Past clients include: NHS, Erasmus, York St John University, Ex Cathedra, Alex Mendham & His Orchestra, B:Music, Mike Moran, Joey Sturgis Tones (USA), Tom Quayle.
